Christmas Eve service and cards.

The Christmas Eve service was good, but packed solid. I can't imagine how it will get MORE full for 5pm or 7pm, though the 9pm and 11pm services should be less full since they are after "normal" kid bedtimes. Yikes!

We received four more Christmas cards in the mail today, including ones from [livejournal.com profile] lotsofjoy and [livejournal.com profile] irishphoenix711 - thank you, dearies!

Yay! It actually got there "before" Christmas. Talk about procrastination, huh? LOL!

Out of curiosity, how long did the service tonight last? And how long is a regular service?

I ask because our "family mass" - the service aimed at kids and their families - was over 90 minutes. That's 30 minutes longer than a regular service, and it seemed more than a tad excessive. I had a hard enough time getting 1 child through the service without a meltdown, and I had help from 3 other adults who love her. I can't imagine what it was like for the folks with multiple kids in attendance.
