Pages and phone calls

It has been a little while, but I just uploaded some more scrapbook pages to my other journal. I figured I'd let you all know here, since you might not still be checking that one. You can find the post HERE.

In other news, Philip called me about 2 hours ago to tell me that he is going to call me later.

Yep, you read that right. He called me on the phone to tell me that he's going to call me on the phone later. Nut! :-P

hey, this has NOTHING to do with your posts, but i'm thinking about getting baskets to organize my shelves in some closets. does longaberger have anything like that?

[identity profile] chelelev.livejournal.com 2005-02-14 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
I'll answer for Nicole, YES, YES and YES. Lots and lots of baskets and such.

[identity profile] navygreen.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, yes. Longaberger is famous (in my house, at least) for organizing. I can send you a catalog, if you'd like...

i surfed through the website, and to be honest, while they're beautiful, they're also too expensive for me. *sheepish grin*

[identity profile] navygreen.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I completely understand. Especially b/c if you're talking about major organizing, you're talking about needing several baskets. And if you're talking about needing just ONE basket, you're talking about a fair amount of $$$. :-D

[identity profile] chelelev.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
While at first glance, they do seem very expensive, they really aren't. For one, they last forever. Forever I tell you, forever. Secondly, if you have so much in orders, you begin to be able to get things 1/2 price or even free. For example, you show your mom and best friend the catalog. They oooh and aaaww and order 150.00 worth of product. You now get to select something for 1/2 price. If you show the catalog to even more people and get more orders you begin to earn hostess dollars (think free).

can we say probably about 20 baskets? that and they're all going to be behind closet doors, that quite frankly, if guests open them i bet they're snooping. so i think i'll go with something a bit less elegant, and less $$. :-)

1. That's probably the cutest scrapbook I've ever seen. Cuter than the one of me (I'm very humble, but even I think I was a cute kid -- what happened?!)

2. It was neat to see you and Philip in the early days of "You and Philip".

3. Gina wants biblical names for her kids -- Isaiah if it's a boy, Hannah if it's a girl.

4. I've done that -- calling now to tell you I'll call later -- don't knock it. :-p

- B.

(PS - I know your first name now... *giggle* But don't worry, I like Nicole better)

[identity profile] chelelev.livejournal.com 2005-02-14 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
They really don't look that different but it has only been a few years since the early years of Nicole and Phillip.

What cracks me up is the phone call asking if I got the e-mail that was sent to save money on phone calls.

[identity profile] navygreen.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you kidding?! We look so OLD now!

[identity profile] chelelev.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Not even close. When you get married right after high school, and it is only 6 years later, you don't look that old. Phillip does have less hair but that is about the only difference.

[identity profile] navygreen.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Awww, thanks!

2. Yeah, I look at all these pictures now and think, "When did we start looking so OLD?!

3. For A.J., I really just wanted an A.J. Honestly, if I'd known that you could legally name a child with just initials, I'd have done it. (I didn't think you could, though, and it never occurred to me to just ASK.) So instead, I searched for names I liked together. I loved Jude (I actually first really liked that name when I read Jude the Obscure in AP English), and I liked the way Aaron went with it. Voila! I didn't set out to pick Biblical names or anything... it just happened.

4. LOL

PS. - Don't even think about it!

That's cool though, he called to say he would call later, I do that too. At least you got to hear his voice for the extra 30 sec ;)

[identity profile] navygreen.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
True, true.

[identity profile] thirtycats.livejournal.com 2005-02-14 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
I am so impressed!

That's BEAUTIFUL.

You have a very lucky son.

[identity profile] navygreen.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you. It was my very first work, and I really don't think I could have started with just blank pages. I needed pages printed with titles to 'tell' me what to do. :-)

Do you scrapbook?

[identity profile] xellegirlx.livejournal.com 2005-02-14 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
Calling to tell you tat he's going to call! Aww!

[identity profile] navygreen.livejournal.com 2005-02-16 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, he's a sappy dork like that. :-)
