Call to Care: The 'Maria' story.

*sigh*

On the one hand, I don't really want to get into all of this. At this point, I'd rather just let things go completely and be done with it. On the other hand, several of you still have unanswered questions, and I also feel that my 'side' needs to get out.

So, here it is. )

Hungry ribbons.

I'm starving. It's almost 5pm, and I've still not eaten dinner last night, nor breakfast or lunch today - yikes! I'm reheating my stuffed zucchini, but I'm also preparing to make dinner very soon - how messed up is that?

I'm going out in a bit to tie a new yellow ribbon on the tree in the yard. lilmissriss Marissa wants to take a picture with her hubby under the tree. :-)

Wow.

Wow. When you guys rally, you *really* rally, don't you?

My inbox feels loved, and as a result, I feel very loved myself.

*hugs to all*

"If you can't stand the heat..."

My oven has had a gas leak for a while now. Yesterday, as I set out to make more marathon zucchini breads, the gassy smell from turning on the oven was almost unbearable. After 10 minutes or so, it did finally dissipate, and the oven always heats up just fine (it overheats, in fact). But today, I couldn't stand it any longer, so I called maintenance out.

The guy came out, inspected the oven while it was turned on by STICKING HIS HEAD INSIDE IT! I was surprised, to say the least. He determined that it had a bad igniter, and he left to go get another one and install it. When he returned, he gave me the news that they were out of igniters, and he'd be back in the morning to fix it with a part from another warehouse.

So we didn't have the shake-n-bake chicken that we'd all been so looking forward to for tonight's dinner. And there will be no more marathon bread-making tonight. However, there shouldn't be a gassy smell the next time I turn the oven on, right? ;-)
