Annie update (again!)

hetterrific Heather just called with good news! The baby has turned, and now starrchld Annie is between 6-7cm dilated, fully effaced. Yay!

That's GREAT progress in just two hours - let's hope it keeps up! Heather said Annie's doing well, breathing great through her contractions and finding her zone. She's on the pitocin drip, but she's not had any epidural or anything. Hopefully things will keep moving smoothly, and little Douglas will be here tonight!

Just when I was all geared up to be sympathetic reading your last update, then I see that you updated again and things have turned (literally). Yay! I'm sure things will go very quickly for her now. I have sympathy, since I did the long labor with no change thing (not back labor though). But once things got going they really went very quickly. I hope her pushing goes fast and smoothly and that little Douglas makes an appearance before midnight so he can have that mathematical birthday you were hoping for ;)

I'm sure she will be very happy if he's born before midnight ;)

Yes, I'm sure she will. If I remember correctly, she voted for Sept. 27th in the baby poll - haha.

I voted for an early date for her too. Not so much because I thought she'd go early as because I hoped she'd go early for her sake. No one was more surprised than me when Scott was born before his due date. Now of course this one will be stubborn and want to stay for an extra week to be an April baby instead of a March baby ;)

I'm tempted to stay up late and see what happens, but I have to get up early tomorrow. So I'll be sure to tune in first thing in the morning to see how it went. *wishes her speedy labor vibes*

Soon, soon, soon - that's what we hope!

Things are definitely on the upswing now - I'm sure we'll know something by morning!
